The HR world is hungry for knowledge and there is a huge thirst for change…many are on a mission to make the world of work a better place. And thankfully so.
There are tons of incredible people & events which take place throughout the year, nationally and globally where you can gain some inspiration and learn about the latest and greatest in HR. Twitter is one of our favourite places to chat and hear the thoughts of some of the leading minds in HR, it’s incredible the amount of knowledge you can pack into a tiny space which reaches millions.
To help make that decision a little easier, we have listed 5 of the most influential HR influencers, who we believe will bring lots of insight, inspiration and in some cases, even a little fun to your Twitter feed, on a daily basis.
1 – Josh Bersin
This man needs little to no introduction. If you are part HR, i would be shocked if you didn’t know who Josh Bersin was. I was in Amsterdam at an event called Unleash where Josh’s thought leadership session was listen to a full house. Josh Bersin is the founder and principal analyst at Bersin by Deloitte who’s Human Capital Trends report is probably the most referenced report in the industry. Josh himself is an avid tweeter and a regular speaker at some the leading HR events around the globe like the HRD Summit, Unleash, HR Vision and CIPD to name a few. His knowledge in the industry is exceptional so make sure you follow him.
2 – Sharlyn Lauby
Shaping the future of work, Sharlyn Lauby, is the founder of the very popular HR Bartender blog. Sharlyn herself is an HR pro turned consultant and HR speaker who advices globally. Sharlyn has a very active twitter feed with great information -helpful and practical HR advice plus lots of conversation about the workplace.
3 – Perry Timms
Perry is a People & Transformational HR extraordinaire. He is well known for his fantastic up-beat energy and passion for people – after all, the key is in the people right? Perry recently shared his views on the topic at TEDx and emphasised how he feels the world of work is about to explode in terms of accessibility and opportunity. Perry is also the Advisor to CIPD on Social Media & Engagement.
4 – Mary Schaeffer
Through her own education, research, experimentation, experience, and practice, she’s learned how being more human at work can have a positive impact. You can hear about just one of her “experiments” in her TEDx talk, Putting the Human Back into Human Resources. Check it out below!
5- Megan M Biro
Founder of the #Tchat World of Work Community – the most popular Twitter chat on everything to do with talent management, she is also the CEO of TalentCulture and regular contributor at Forbes and the Huffington Post. Megan is passionate about all things talent, you only have to take one look at her Twitter feed to know how committed she is!
