London, 8th March: AWA, The Fashion Brunch founded by Anisha Vasani from Anisha Vasani Creates and Poonam Ball, Creative chef of Madhu’s hosted a celebratory event celebrating International Women at Madhu’s of Mayfair at The Dilly Hotel, Picadilly London, in association with Madhu’s, Laurent Perrier & charity partner Wells on Wheels.
A unique and vibrant event showcased a luxury fashion show by Nikaza Asian Couture, Raishma Couture, Kyles Collection, Goenka Jewels & Ambreen Hair and makeup combined with a distinctive brunch by Madhu’s of Mayfair.
The event was hosted by presenter Anila Dhami whilst in attendance of popular British Asian personalities such as singer Tasha Tah, Gurinder Chadha, OBE and many up and coming wedding industry specialists. AWA provided a female-only networking opportunity that went the extra mile in providing a space for gender issues and equality to be discussed without judgement. Building internal women’s networking groups and acknowledging gender issues within a company to propel awareness, improve the working environment, and boost confidence in the wedding marketplace. AWA spoke to many new business and C-suite women business owners, to help them move effectively in this market.
The Fashion Brunch Creative Director Anisha Vasani said: ‘I was overwhelmed with the success of the return of the Fashion Brunch, showcasing couture fashion brands on our fabulous Catwalk, fine food by Madhu’s and a chance to celebrate women. I wanted to create a platform to celebrate both aspiring and established leading suppliers of the Asian wedding industry and to create a social networking event to inspire and empower the 155 incredibly iconic women all under one roof, marking history- It was an exceptional moment!’
Poonam of Madhu’s: ‘We are still buzzing from the very strong positive energy from talented, creative and powerful women of the wedding industry. Thank you to everyone who attended. We are proud to be a part of an association that values the contribution made by the women of our wedding industry’.
Tasha Tah: ‘ It was an inspiring and motivational event. It was wonderful to see so many beautiful and talented strong women coming together to support one another on International Women’s Day. We need to celebrate more events like this.’
Nisha Dadi, Kyles Collection: ‘It was a beautiful event that brought so many women together after the difficult 2 years in the pandemic. I was very overwhelmed that I had touched so many women along my journey and was touched by the tributes yesterday.’
The AWA Fashion Brunch is proud to support Well on Wheel’s, a leading Water Wheel Charity Project offering Water Wheels to ease the burden of women walking 1-2 miles a day carrying water on their heads. For more information, please visit www.wellsonwheels.co.uk
