al-Adha is around the corner and many of us are either preparing or finalising our preparation for the big day! While buying clothes, decorating our homes, preparing samosas and purchasing gifts are all necessary, it’s also a good idea to think about the many Sunnahs related to the day of Eid.  (Main image Salman Preeom, Unsplash)

Below we list five of the most important Sunnahs you do not want to miss this :

Starting Your Day With Fajr

The Fajr , which is known as one of the most important , is of course mandatory every day. However, on Eid day, we should make it a priority to read it on time and in congregation at the if possible. Awake early, prepare for the prayer and take a few moments to reflect after the prayers.

Perform Ghusl/Sunnah Bathing

As the day will include meeting and socialising with others, it’s a good idea to give yourself a well-deserved clean. have mentioned that the best time to do this is after the Fajr prayer as after this one will be heading out to the Eid prayers.

Take Advantage of Dressing Up

This is your moment to shine! Whether it’s new clothes or not, Eid day is all about adorning yourself with the best clothes you have. The PBUH used to have a red-striped cloak which was reserved specifically for the day of Eid.

Use The Best Perfume You Have

It goes without saying that once you’ve got your best clothes on, it’s time to add some scent to it. The Prophet PBUH loved perfume and applied it on the days of Eid and Jumuah. What’s more, by doing so, you’ll be doing others a favour by creating a fragrant and pleasant aura.

Perform Eid Salah

There is no Eid without the Eid . A distinctive feature of the day, Eid Salah is a momentous occasion for all to gather and embrace one another whilst remembering that this is ultimately a day of . Whilst it is better to perform the Eid Salah twenty to thirty minutes after sunrise, one can pray it anytime in the morning.
