MASSIVE ATTENDANCE AT FUNERAL OF PIR ALAUDDIN SIDDIQUI.
Islamic scholar and spiritual leader Pir Alauddin Siddiqui Nashbandi passed away in the UK this week on Friday. Born in Kashmir on 1st January 1936. He was known for establishing Mosques in London, Birmingham, Peterborough and various other cities in the country, besides launching a tv station called ‘Noor TV,’ to counter the biased views of the mainstream media regarding Islam.
Over 20,000 followers attended Pir Alauddin Siddiqui’s funeral on Friday.
Pir Alauddin Siddiqui Nashbandi grew up in the blessed presence of his father & spiritual guide, thus obtaining spiritual blessing and grace throughout his childhood, and from their years of service and devotion at the great centre of Nerian Sharif, Pakistan.
In 2004, he founded Al-Ehya Trust, now known as Mohiuddin Trust.
The Mohiuddin Trust is a charitable organisation striving to benefit people of all walks of life regardless of colour, creed or social stature. Mohiuddin Trust is divided into 3 wings concentrating on International development; National awareness and Local Regeneration & Empowerment.
The Naqshbandi Sufi order was founded by Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari and traces its spiritual lineage to the Islamic prophet Muhammad, through Abu Bakr, the first Caliph and Muhammad’s companion. Some Naqshbandi masters trace their lineage through Ali, His son-in-law and the fourth Caliph, in keeping with most other Sufis.
One of many Facebook tribute pages stated: “He believed his existence was to serve and improve the plight of mankind, regardless of colour or creed. To this end he has worked tirelessly all his life promoting the well-being of the deprived and the under-privileged where ever he has traveled around the world.”

Shaykh ul Aalam Khwaja Mohammad Alauddin Siddiqui is the second eldest son of Hudhoor Ghawth ul Ummat, Khwaja Ghulam Mohiuddin Ghaznavi, may Allah’s Mercy be upon him, the great wali and founder of Darbar Nerian Sharif. Shaykh ul Aalam’s mother was a pious and extremely virtuous lady, may Allah’s Mercy be upon her, who raised him with a great deal of love, affection and compassion.
Shaykh ul Aalam’s paternal uncle, Khwaja Mohammad Durrab Khan (affectionately known as Pir Saani Sahib), was a qalandar saint who was deeply absorbed in the realities of the Unseen and the Love of Allah. He would accompany Shaykh ul Aalam’s father throughout their entire time at Nerian Sharif until their departure from this world. Both are buried in the blessed mausoleum of Nerian Sharif.
The genealogy of Shaykh ul Aalam, via his noble father, is known to trace back to Sayyidina Khalid ibn al Waleed, the eminent Companion of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
From here, it is already evident that Shaykh ul Aalam’s upbringing took place in a spiritually enriched environment; surrounded by the Men of Allah, their dhikr and their blessed mannerisms.

» Shaykh ul Aalam has 6 brothers, of whom 2 have passed away; the eldest, Hadhrat Janab Pir Nizamuddin Qasmi Sahib and Shaykh ul Aalam’s younger brother, Hadhrat Janab Pir Imam Rabbani Farooqi Sahib – may Allah’s Mercy be upon them both.
» Shaykh ul Aalam married two noble women; one from the sacred precincts of Nerian Sharif, and the other from the blessed sanctuary of Mohra Sharif who has passed away in recent years, may Allah’s Mercy be upon her. She was in fact the daughter of Khwaja Pir Mohammad Zahid Khan Sahib, who was a great Man of Allah, as well as the son and spiritual heir of Khwaja Mohammad Qasim Mohrvi Sahib, the ghawth of his era. May Allah’s Mercy be upon them all.
» Shaykh ul Aalam has one daughter and two sons (Sahibzada Noor ul Aarifeen Sahib and Sahibzada Sultan ul Aarifeen Sahib).
