From the magnanimous Himalayas to the stunning landscapes and ancient history carved on stones, everything in Uttarakhand has a story attached to it. It is this untold story that lures visitors from India and around the world. The age-old Hindu traditions have always accorded highest esteem to the glory of the Himalayas which are spontaneously assumed to be the chosen consecrated residences of Gods. A whole lot of the Hindu lore sets out from here. Mythology, anecdotes and stories are part of anything which you come across Uttarakhand. However, this is alot of muslim history in the area as well.
The year 2018 is going to be more special for Uttarakhand Tourism as its all set to host a number of prestigious events. Temperatures are going to rise for FIS as it comes to India for the first time.
Today, the world is turning to Yoga, but Uttarakhand has been a home for Yogi’s for thousands of years! In 2018, the state will host the International Yoga Festival for all the peace seekers of the world.
Celebrations don’t end here! They will also celebrate the completion of 50 years of iconic musical band Beatles visiting Uttarakhand in 1978 for soul-searching.
Apart from being the hottest tourist destination, Uttarakhand also represents ample investment opportunities which make the state a must to include place in your investment itinerary.
The increase in the inflow of tourists from 101.97 thousand in 2014 to 105.88 thousand in 2015, variety of rare species of medicinal plants and a forest cover of 68.4% are the primary factors responsible for thriving tourism here.
